From the fast-paced world of paramedicine to the high-stakes environment of a Cardiac Unit, my journey to becoming a foot care nurse has been anything but ordinary and I wouldn't have it any other way. After a decade as a Paramedic and years of nursing in a Cardiac Unit, I knew I was meant for something different. I craved a setting where I could slow down, truly connect with my patients, and make a meaningful difference in their day-to-day lives. That's when foot care found me or maybe I found it.
As a long-time runner, I've battled my fair share of foot problems. I know firsthand how something as seemingly small as a foot ailment can completely derail your quality of life. That personal experience, combined with my medical background, gives me a unique perspective that I bring to every single appointment.
My passion has always been people. Whether I was responding to emergencies, caring for cardiac patients, or now helping someone walk pain-free again, that drive to help has never wavered. My goal is to keep growing as a foot care nurse expanding my skills and services so I can reach more people in more meaningful ways.
When I'm not in practice mode, you'll find me out on the trails, in the kitchen, lost in a good book, or cuddled up with my family and our foster dogs because apparently one dog is never enough!
I'm proud to be in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and covered through the Canadian Nurses Protective Society (CNPS), so you can feel confident you're in safe, qualified hands.
Hello, my name is Stephanie. I am a registered nurse with nearly eight years of experience across a variety of clinical settings. I am bilingual and originally from Northern Ontario, where I first started working in foot care and long-term care before expanding into other areas I am passionate about, including pediatrics, the NICU, and as a nursing laboratory instructor.
After starting my family, I faced some difficult career decisions that led me to step away from certain roles. I am now excited to return to foot care while continuing to pursue my passion for education and supporting future nurses.
I hold a certificate in Advanced Nursing Foot Care and am currently completing a refresher course to ensure I provide high-quality care grounded in the most current evidence-based practices. My goal is to deliver safe, compassionate, and individualized foot care services that support overall health and well-being.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my children and fur baby. You can often find me camping, fishing, hunting, exploring new trails, or playing baseball.
