All first visits will include a thorough assessment
of the lower legs and feet. We will go through your medical history and
medications to determine any potential and ongoing concerns you may
have. From there we will come up with a treatment plan. This assessment
also includes treatments that have been discussed and agreed upon. These
can include nail trim, cleaning, and filing, reduction of thickened
nails and corns/calluses, dry/cracked skin, ingrown toenails, fungal
infections.
Regular maintenance is important. During your
initial visit, we will discuss how often you should return. In general
every 6-8 weeks will help keep your feet healthy and pain free. During
this visit we will review the treatment from the previous visit and
adjust the plan as needed. All treatment is done during this visit as
well.
We offer a non-surgical approach to ingrown toenail
removal. This appointment is for those who have otherwise healthy feet
and just need help with a non-complicated ingrown toenail.
People with Diabetes are at greater risk of
developing Neuropathy, reduced blood flow to the lower legs and feet,
complicated wound healing and decreased sensation. Regular care and
maintenance of your feet help reduce potential complications. A diabetic
assessment includes a thorough assessment of your lower legs and feet, a
treatment plan and treatment.
